WomanUP! Features Leverage Team Members and Partners in Third Annual Conference
In its third year, the WomanUP! conference brought together brokerage owners, real estate executives, and aspiring leaders from across the country. Featured speakers included several members of the Leverage network and team.
WomanUP! is an initiative of the California Association of Realtors that exists to support the journey of women to the very top of their careers. The third annual WomanUP! conference invited women (and men) from across the country to enhance the female empowerment movement within the real estate industry. The event was held on October 23-25th at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego.
The conference featured an array of inspiring speeches from women who have achieved success in real estate. Among the jam-packed list of highly acclaimed speakers were several Leverage members, including Leverage President, Annalisa Povlock, CEO and Owner of Red Oak Realty, Vanessa Bergmark, Broker and Owner of ACME Real Estate, Courtney Poulos, and CEO and Managing Broker at Palm Realty Boutique Sheri Fejeran.

Leverage President Annalisa Povlock spoke on a panel titled “Emerging Leaders” moderated by Sherry Chris, CEO of Realogy Expansion Brands. Alongside brokerage owner Cherika Johnson and Meghan Vost, CEO + Owner of a relocation company, these emerging leaders shared their experiences on how they overcame obstacles, built meaningful relationships, and made business decisions that propelled them ahead of their peers. They talked about taking a leap of faith, staying focused on their long term plans, and leveraging the power of a small team to make big moves.
Vanessa Bergmark, Fear Setting: When Fear Holds You Back From Slaying Your Goals
CEO of Red Oak Realty, Vanessa Bergmark gave an intimate talk about “Fear Setting” and the importance of identifying and preventing your fears as an important step, along with goal setting, in the pursuit of success and fulfillment.

CEO of ACME Real Estate, Courtney Poulos was interviewed on a panel discussion about “Building Your Wealth through Real Estate.” On the heels of the release of her book Break Up with Your Rental, Courtney shared how she broke into real estate investing and offered up strategies for others to get started.
