Dragon Fly

Dragonfly is a private retreat situated in Lower Bay, one of the best swimming beaches on Bequia. The house was built on the hillside, facing west with wonderful 180-degree views over the Caribbean Sea. From its rooms and large stone-clad terrace with gazebo, visitors can enjoy the ever-changing colours of the evening sun setting on the horizon. With its charming interiors and lovely setting, this villa has been mentioned in a feature on Bequia in Harpers Bazaar Magazine.<br><br>

Located just three-minutes walk away from the gently lapping water's edge of Lower Bay beach, guests can enjoy a swim or lounging by one of the nearby beach bars or restaurants at any time of the day. The access to the villa is quite steep and therefore a rental jeep is recommended, which is also an ideal option for exploring the rest of the island. All rooms of the villa lead out onto the partly covered terrace, giving a great vantage point onto the bay and the surrounding landscaped gardens that are filled with fruit and flowering trees.

All bedrooms consist en-suite bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests in total. Two of these are twin bedrooms, with two large single beds that can slot together to form king-sized double beds and the third double bedroom is furnished with a king-sized four-posted bed. All three bedrooms are also fully air-conditioned and equipped with mosquito nets, reading lamps, ceiling fans and radios.

The living room has cable television, two large ceiling fans, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi Internet connection, and a sound dock for an iPod. Guests can choose to dine either in the living room or under the stars in the outdoor gazebo. Located next to the living room is the kitchen, fully equipped with all holiday essentials including a toaster, blender, kettle and all the usual items such as pots, pans and cutlery. A washing room is located at the back of the house with a large washer/drying and a soaking basin.
