My day begins waking up to the fresh Muskoka air and realizing how lucky I am to call one of the most beautiful places in the world, home. I was born and raised in Bala on the Moon River. Spending summers on the water and winters on the ice gives me a true appreciation for this great area year round. Being a local allows me to provide my clients an unparalleled perspective on cottaging in Muskoka, knowing the ins and outs of the lakes, roads, services and different areas throughout the district. Calling Moon River my home makes it even more enjoyable to list and sell properties on the Moon. Touring clients by boat is a truly unique buying experience and always a favourite of mine. My expertise only begins at the Moon and expands throughout the entire District of Muskoka, selling properties from my backyard through Parry Sound, Huntsville, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Port Carling, and all of the beautiful lakes in between. My background begins at the University of Ottawa, where I specialized in marketing and hold an Honours Bachelor of Commerce. It continues with many international experiences including a business exchange to Hong Kong, China, which helped shape the business professional I am today through broadening my horizons in international practices and developing my business aptitude in the ability to adapt to unique and challenging situations. I began my real estate career in Ottawa with one of the largest international commercial real estate brokerages, learning firsthand how to prospect, build and maintain relationships and successfully complete substantial real estate transactions with many local and international companies.

Moving home to Bala was a great choice both personally and professionally, and allowed me to continue the business that my grandfather began over 50 years ago. Working alongside my parents, I am able to provide clients with over 65 years of combined experience and a long legacy of well-respected, successful real estate transactions. Now in my 10th year as a real estate professional, I have early in my career made a positive impact on the real estate market in Muskoka and through creating rewarding real estate transactions, have attained the President’s Gold Award for 3 years, achieving the top 10% of sales in Canada for Royal LePage and the Diamond Award in 2016, 2017 & 2018 achieving top 3% for sales in Canada. In 2019, I was #1 in Muskoka for Johnston and Daniel agents and #3 in Canada.

Through rebranding our office to Johnston & Daniel Rushbrooke Realty in 2018, we are able to offer our clients a boutique luxury experience while still maintaining our family oriented business. We continue to be a Royal LePage affiliate offering the backbone of Canada’s leading real estate company.

Aside from real estate, another passion of mine is firefighting. I started as a volunteer firefighter in Muskoka in 2012 and am now a firefighter with the City of Toronto. Being able to help others on what quite possibly could be the worst days of their lives is something that is a true honour.
