Brendan Brown
Brendan Brown’s career in real estate began at age 18 and has covered Orange County, San Diego, New York CIty, and now Los Angeles. He started his career renovating and designing investment properties and ultimately opened his own real estate brokerage in Newport Beach, CA at age 23. The following years saw him grow the brokerage and his other businesses throughout Southern California and the East Coast, ultimately leading him to spend large amounts of his time on both the East Coast and abroad.
In 2018, Brendan made the decision to relocate to New York City. Upon his arrival in the city, he signed with Douglas Elliman and Knight Frank, further allowing him to provide the best service to his clients, with the best brokerage in the city to do so. It not only allowed access to the best resources and services available coast to coast for himself and his clients, but worldwide. His tenaciousness, and his “you don’t get what you don’t ask for” mentality, have only further afforded both his clients and colleagues the best experiences, opportunities, and results. 2021 saw Brendan return to California, and like his previous move across the country, he wanted the best brokerage to call home for both himself and clients. For Brendan, Westside Estate Agency was the only place he wanted to resume his career in California. Most importantly, his expansion into Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Miami.
It’s always his clients’ best interests that are at the forefront of his mind in any pitch or deal. His involvement in the different fields of real estate, fashion, media, and publishing has provided him a unique vantage point. Not only when it comes to finding the right deals and properties for his clients, but in utilizing that network to do so.
Aside from his own real estate and media ventures, Brendan has held his own personal contributor platform for the Huffington Post, written for GQ and Men's Fashion Post, and is a GQ, Mr. Porter, and Travel + Leisure Insider. He has collaborated and worked with many fashion and lifestyle brands, publications, and companies; and was named as one of New York's men about town. An avid world traveler, Brendan traveled to over 29 countries before he turned 30. The one that has forever held the biggest place in his heart was his first trip to South Africa in 2012. He has returned seven times to Johannesburg and other locales to work hands-on with the wild lion population in Africa. His work with the African Lion Conservation and their ongoing efforts for the conservation of lions in the wild has been one of the most rewarding things of his life.
Philanthropy has long played a vast role in Brendan’s life. His largest role is being a member of the board of the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. He is one of the Founding Members and Chairs of the Young Professionals Committee, the first sub-committee for the foundation in 25 years. The Young Professionals Committee hosts the foundation’s annual Midsummer Angel Gala (which he helped spearhead the launch of in 2019 to massive success), as well as New York's iconic Angel Ball each year. He is also actively involved with the AIDS Walk Foundation in Los Angeles and New York City, the Central Park Conservancy, Gods Love We Deliver, and the Hoag Hospital Foundation. In 2022, Brendan was honored by The Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Outstanding Contributions.
Born and raised in Newport Beach, CA, Brendan holds a degree in Finance from Chapman University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He holds dual real estate licenses in both California and New York, putting him on track to quickly becoming a bi-coastal force to be reckoned with. It is Brendan’s entrepreneurial mindset, creative and innovative thinking, that has enabled him to provide his clients with the best service possible for over a decade.
