BBQ Bash

Recipes for Outdoor Dining

presented by VPG Realty

Sizzle… crack… pop! The only things that are better than the sounds of outdoor grilling are the smells and the good company. We’ve got you covered on the former.

Check out these recipes for outdoor dining that will be sure to turn your next barbecue bash into a gastronomic success.

Dip and sip

Start the party off right with dips and sips for your guests to enjoy as they arrive.

Goop has two recipes for summery (but not too sweet) cocktails we’re itching to try including this spiked strawberry lemonade made with fresh strawberry purée and vodka.

No feast would be complete without Martha Stewart. This cool and creamy feta radish spread is made from Greek yogurt and takes less than 30 minutes to whip up.

Pro Tip: Station your pre-dinner treats away from where the main course is being served so guests can mingle without spoiling the pièce de résistance.

Main course

While the burger is a classic staple at barbecues, why not kick it up a notch with these grilled shrimp tacos courtesy of bon appétit made with fresh serrano chile, chipotle chile powder, and ground cumin.

Can’t get the image of a burger on the grill out of your mind? Try these recipes that break away from using the conventional beef patty including lamb with tangy fennel slaw and ginger-scallion salmon with miso yogurt.

Frozen treat

Don’t let the heat stop you from enjoying a glass of hot chocolate. This frozen version from Ina Garten is just as rich and creamy as its warmer counterpart with an added kick from the coffee liqueur (thanks contessa).
