Roland Wilhelm Rides to the Arctic Circle to Benefit Hathaway-Sycamores

When long-time Pasadena resident and Partners Trust associate Roland Wilhelm (half of the Roland & Candace team) isn't representing some of the most architecturally distinctive and extraordinary homes in the San Gabriel Valley, you’ll probably find him riding his motorcycle and supporting his community.

This past August, Wilhelm rode his BMW GS motorcycle from Mexico to the Arctic Circle with the goal of raising awareness and $10,000 for youth mental health organization, Hathaway-Sycamores. With an outpouring of support from the community, he rode right past his goal, raising $12,300 in total. The trip took about three weeks and spanned more than 10,000 miles.

This wasn’t the first fundraising ride Wilhelm’s completed. His first took place in 2012, riding coast to coast from San Diego, California to Jacksonville, Florida and raising more than $6,000.

In fact, Wilhelm has been lending a helping hand to Hathaway-Sycamores for the past 20 years. The organization is one of the largest not-for-profit children’s mental health and welfare agencies in Los Angeles county with 11 locations. The Hathaway-Sycamores team provides various family-centered educational, preventative and behavioral health programs, all family-centered and directed at those in need.
