Dallas, Texas: $1.2 Billion Development In The Works

The Terra Verde Development Group has planned a $1.2 Billion development project in Collin County's town of Prosper, Texas, called the Windsong Ranch Community.  The project will include 4,100 homes, a park, and much more.

West of the North Tollway, on Highway 380, the development project will be one of the largest residential developments in Dallas' northern suburbs.  On over 2000 acres of land and slated to include multiple playgrounds, hiking and bike trails, pools, sports fields, 50 acres of parks,  and community centers with coffee shop, marketing center, and fitness facility, there has been nothing like it in the area.

Windsong's development will take place in phases, as is standard on a project of this scale, with Phase 1 scheduled to start selling in 2014.  The project, formerly known as "Three Stones" or "Mahard Ranch" is fully entitled and ready for development.

"The assets acquired and planned development include:

• 2,030 acres planned for 3,100 single-family units, 300 multi-family units, 300 townhome units, and over 200 acres of commercial use.
• Approximately 600 acres of open space and rolling terrain will provide recreational opportunities that are rare in the area.
• Three (3) school sites, which are within the Prosper ISD.
• Full-scale amenity centers, which will include aquatics as well as fitness and a neighborhood café.

Construction on off-site utilities was initiated in September 2012. The first phase of lots and completed model homes are scheduled to be delivered in early 2014."
