On February 9-10, 2015, Leverage Global Partners hosted our inaugural Regional Event in Charlotte, North Carolina. HM Properties, our exclusive representative in the Charlotte area, co-hosted the event.

Representatives from 13 partners around the Carolinas and Southeast region joined us for the event, including Carriage Properties, Jocassee Real Estate Company, HM Properties, Lake James Real Estate, Mountain Oak Properties, Pam Harrington Exclusives, Peak, Swirles & Cavallito Properties, Ray & Poynor Properties, The Lachicotte Company, The Lanier Property Group, The Marchant Company, Inc., Three Oaks Realty Co., and Tyler Redhead & McAlister Real Estate.

The event kicked off with a introduction evening on Monday night, where attendees gathered to tour the HM Properties offices. A cocktail event followed, and attendees enjoyed mixing and mingling with their fellow partners in the network at a lively local hotspot.

Tuesday’s morning panel sessions began with “Recruiting, Retention, Expansion”, featuring Leverage President & Partners Trust Co-Founder F. Ron Smith and HM Properties Broker-In-Charge/Owner Valerie Mitchener. Jay Dysart from Real Atomic and JLOOP took the group through a presentation of “Where Can Your Website Take You?”. Certified Relocation Professionals Lisa Rhead (HM Properties) and Christopher Corley (Ray & Poynor Properties) shared their expertise of “Building a Relocation Specialty”.

Afternoon sessions included “From Startup to Success” with Stephanie Lanier (The Lanier Property Group) and Cliff Murse (Three Oaks Realty Co.), and “How We’ve Built our Brands” with Lynn Hanlin & Judy Tarleton (Carriage Properties), Alec McAlister (Tyler Redhead & McAlister), and F. Ron Smith. Event sponsors Paxton Companies discussed moving resources and Lawn & Mullinix Mortgage shared changes to RESPA in 2015. All sessions were closed-door meetings, allowing the space for candid and open conversation amongst the event attendees.
