Leverage Partner in the Press: Partners Trust Forbes Feature

Leverage Partner Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage and Acquisitions has a listing featured in Forbes! Find out the details of the spectacular Ojai office space of David Allen, the 'Getting Things Done' productivity expert.

Allen's productivity philosophy boils down to the idea that dumping tasks from the brain into an external tracking system is critical for calming the mind so that it can focus. "What our work is really about is about the value of clear space," he explains. "Whether that's on your desk or in your email or your head–and primarily the focus is on your head–or reflected around you in your environment."

Allen and the architect found a few ways to incorporate the Zen aesthetic the productivity guru is drawn to. The building opens onto an interior rock-filled fountain with infinity edges, which provides a bit of white noise. Another Zen infusion: a custom-made Washi screen designed by Japanese investment-banker-turned-artist Eriko Horiki. The screen, which Allen says cost $30,000, opens to reveal a white board. When closed, it refracts light in organic patterns that shift across the space throughout the day.

The commercial space houses 11 individual offices, as well as a staff room with an outdoor patio. At capacity, it can hold about 25 people. Polished concrete floors throughout the building keep the space simple and clean. It's situated a stone's throw away from the Ojai Valley Athletic Club. Nick Segal, president of Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage and Acquisitions in Los Angeles, has the listing and says he expects the place to appeal to a creative business, perhaps a think tank, maybe someone in the movie industry in Los Angeles.
